MOTORSPORT TRACK OPENS IN NORTH CALGARY

After seven years of work by the team at Rocky Mountain Motorsports to secure all official approvals and permits from Alberta Stakeholders, a long-awaited motorsport track opened in 

Designed by world-renowned German race-circuit designer, Herman Tilke, Rocky Mountain Motorsports officially unveiled the 3.5-kilometre, 16-turn masterpiece that boasts 

36M of elevation change which is available for car clubs and driving schools as well as for public access include: rental by private groups, including car clubs; performance driving schools; occasional open track lapping sessions), and track days by third party renters.

Chris lent support to Rocky Mountain Motorsports working with regional media to share the story through each step of the way through development process: from driving media through the track staked out in the former farmer’s field; to the ground breaking; to getting a first drive through each corner immediately following paving; to hopping in a race car at the Grand Opening. 

Each step of the process clearly articulating the multi-use facility will be a home for passionate motorsport enthusiasts of all levels of age and experience, and an exciting range of cars and motorcycles. From exotic hypercars to motorcycles, and vintage racers to daily drivers. What is being coined as the safest track in North America, the facility will host performance driving schools, car clubs, track days, dealership test drives, and a number of motorsport and non-motorsport related events.
